The patter falls softly on the window pane
The soft gentle sound of falling rain
It lulls me into a peaceful place
Where I can rest from life’s weary race
I smell the air so fresh and clean
Washed by a gentle hand not seen
The gentle breeze blows softly upon my face
It seems I can feel the touch of His Amazing Grace
My eyes behold the earth so fresh and clean
Such beauty my eyes hath not seen
So send your rain Lord, gentle and pure
With You all things are washed anew of this I am sure
Jeanette, This is definitely amazing; I looked at “Accepted by Grace” for it reminds me of the Women’s Conference called Living Shameless where I will be speaking, and it sounded like you were much on the same page. I had submitted my topic as “Laughing in the Rain” because I like to make the women laugh as well as share truths from God’s Word. The gentle rain in Deuteronomy fell on the tender plant because a cloudburst would have destroyed it. That is the kind of rain I have planned as I have put together my presentation. And then the first post on your page that I read is of that very kind of rain. I will use a line or two, maybe more, and definitely give you and your website credit when I do that. It just goes so very well with what God has given me to say to them… God must be speaking to both of us about gentle rain. Love your art/words/messages every time I see them on facebook… God bless you as you continue in this ministry to all of us. In Christian Love, Carol Davis (who also lives on a farm, grew up on a farm, but both of them much smaller than yours I imagine…. SMILES!

Carol, Thank your for writing to me. I researched your Women’s Conference “Living Shameless” and I would be pleased to have you use my poem. I had felt the need to write a poem about the rain for a few days now but I got side tracked each time the thought came to my mind until finally last night I felt a strong need to write the poem. I was tired and felt I couldn’t do it justice but the Lord kept prompting me to write so I did. Now I know why He wanted me to write it. Your are welcome to use the poem. All that I write is to glorify the Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and hopefully uplift and comfort someone with the words He gives me to write. God Bless you and may your conference be a great success. ~Jeanette
