Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.
God has a purpose for our lives just as He did the prophet Jeremiah.
Are we fulfilling that purpose? What drives our existence? Is it God or fleshly desires? What would my family or friends say is the driving force in my life?
We were made for God and for His purpose, real peace only comes when we live for God and do His will for our lives.
God has a plan for each of our lives. We are not here just to exist with no direction or purpose in life. I have said to the Lord, “I am just like a grain of sand on the earth, what can I do that will make any difference in the world?” The Lord spoke to my heart and said, “If you drop a pebble in the ocean it makes a ripple, and even though that ripple may not reach very far it is still affecting what is closest to it. Your life is the same it has a ripple effect on those that are near to you.” Then He asked, “Is the effect you are having on others directing them to Me or to the world?”
It is so hard to keep our purpose in life headed in the right direction, especially when we face struggles and heartaches such as bad health, financial problems, family problems, or the death of a loved one. Yet in all we face in life the Lord has promised to help us overcome if we will just lean on Him and trust Him. I can’t promise you it is easy but I can promise you that it is worth the effort to follow Him.
Satan so often wants to tell us our lives aren’t worth anything that no one cares and that we are not making any difference, but God says we matter to Him no matter what state we are in. He says our lives can make a difference.
God tells us we are a light set on a hill, we are to let our light shine for Him, not be hid where others can’t see Him, especially during our struggles in life.
Satan is a liar. His goal is to draw us away from the Father and His purpose for our lives. When we are out of the will of God it brings unhappiness and a lack of peace to our lives. Don’t let Satan sell you his lies, cling to the Lord and His promises, seek His face through prayer and meditation on His Word. You will still face struggles in life but with the Lord’s help you will always find the strength to overcome any trial or struggle you find yourself in. When we overcome our light shines it’s greatest for the Lord.
God is teaching me more and more that our purpose in life is to follow Him and live our lives to draw others to Him through the life we live every day. Each one of us is making a ripple in the world around us, together we can reach the world for our Lord.
Cling to the Lord and trust Him, He shall direct your path.
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
